Installation and Service

In addition to our Sales Engineers, we maintain four full time Installation and Service crews. We hold both General Contractors License and Electrical Contractors License in states we service and work. We maintain Licensed Electricians on our Service Staff at all times.

The Perkinson Company is an Authorized Service Center for AUMA Actuators and Magna Drive Couplings.

 

Fabrication and Machining

The Perkinson Company maintains a fully equipped shop in its Charlotte, NC facility. With a trained staff of machinists, welders and assembers, we are prepared to handle most jobs in house. We are also able to respond quickly to emergency repairs when the need arises.

 

 

Service TechnicianSERVICE POLICIES - In House Service Policy

In order to return material to THE PERKINSON COMPANY and remain consistent with our “Terms and Conditions”, please follow these steps:

  1. Call the Perkinson Service Department and request a “Return Authorization Number”. When requesting a Return Authorization Number, please have the Equipment Sales Order (S.O.#) number and serial number of each unit available. Also be prepared to explain the reason why the unit is being returned.
  2. The material must be returned to the location specified, freight prepaid.
  3. Make certain the package is marked with the Return Authorization Number.
  4. When the unit is received an inspection will be performed, and a quotation prepared based on that inspection. The quotation will be faxed or E-mailed to the customer for their approval.

There will be a minimum one hour charge for each unit returned for inspection. No repairs will be done to the equipment until the customer issues a purchase order in hard copy to THE PERKINSON COMPANY.

 

Power BlenderSERVICE POLICIES - Field Service Policy

In order to remain consistent with the Terms and Conditions of sale, it must be pointed out that field service is not a part of the Standard warranty. All warranty items should be returned to the factory in accordance with the In House Service Policy. Customers requesting service to their location should adhere to the following procedure:

  1. Customer should have the Sales Order (S.O.) number available and the serial number of each unit that requires work. Also be prepared to give a detailed description of the problems encountered or the work that is required.
  2. The customer should be prepared to issue a hard copy of a purchase order for the service work.

No servicemen will be sent to the field before this is received by the Service Department. If the customer has not done business with THE PERKINSON COMPANY previously, they should also send their credit references with the purchase order.
